Veneer
I have a small collection of exotic and domestic wood veneers. While I don't have a lot of variety, I figured this would be a good way to keep track of what I have and might be something Bellingham WA area folks would find useful. You are welcome to buy these veneers, have me build you something with them (veneer @ cost), or anything in between (seaming, banding, layups, etc.)
Veneer prices are per sheet. You can get 20% off by buying 10 or more sheets from up to 5 lots or 50% off if you buy all the available sheets in a lot.
Closeup images (click to enlarge) are of 8.5 x 11" samples and taken by me in natural light (Afrormosia is the only exception). Some of the other images were taken by the folks I bought the veneers from.
Most of these veneers are 1/42" or 1/50" (~.5mm) thick and all are single ply (no backer). All leaves/sheets are in sequence.
Samples MAY be available, contact me first to see if I can send you a sample of the veneer you are interested in. With RARE exception, veneers are only available for pick-up in Bellingham WA.

Quartersawn ribbon stripe with small flakes. Tight end splits up to ~6" and some minor field splits. Color is yellow (closeup color is off), but it does whiten with exposure to the sun.

Alder #1815
The pink color and random curly figure are both unusual (may not be Alder... looks more like Swiss Pear). The edges are a bit ragged, otherwise the veneer is flat and sound.

Etimoe #1817
AKA African Rosewood. Normally it doesn't look so much like Rosewood. Colorful with some random refraction when finished. Large, but sparse pores. The grain bleed is not tactile, easily sands away, and doesn't reappear. All sheets are flat and sound.

Eucalyptus Burl #1818
Nice holographic effect when finished. Veneer is flat though slightly textured. All sheets appear to be from the same flitch. There is a very slight difference in pattern and color between the two sequentially matched sets.

Koto
Koto is similar to, but more interesting than, Ash. This lot is relatively thick, not very flat, has some end splitting (~2") and 1 dirty sheet. The yellowish color fades to almost white with sun exposure. Dye staining does amazing things to a relatively plain looking wood.
7 - 13.5 x 91
$13ea (8.53sf x $1.60)
